It’s Friday, and the Northern Ireland Assembly results are coming in now. The turnout is being reported at 64.78%, which is well up on the 2016 election turnout of 54.9% (+9.88%), and some areas are reporting turnout at over 70%.
And it’s almost over and it’s looking like a dead heat for first place.

It is expected that some results will declare on Saturday, so it’s still a wait and see situation, but the increased turnout has fuelled speculation that the non-unionist parties might benefit.
